Why We Ride

General Add comments

At Dick’s Bike Night, Ironhide, Heat, Nitro & Yankee decided that they were going to ride on Wednesday. When Yankee asked “Where?” Heat replied, “West.” Hahaha. As long as Heat hits a body of water we know he will come back!

It was a brisk morning but that would not last long. We started the ride at Denny’s (Blanding & I295) at 0900 and admired the local patrons, crack ho’s, pimps, sugar babies/daddy’s etc. It was quite interesting. After some great conversation {and a visit to the head} we headed out down SR 21 to 2something to that something to this something to 301 to whatever to Crystal River where we made a stop at the Harley Dealership. Now while you are reading this and know anything about Yankee, you appreciate why he has his own GPS (which he forgot to bring!) He has no idea where the heck he is going here in our wonderful State of Florida.

While at the dealership, we spoke to a pretty cool sales dude. Yankee was on the verge of convincing Shannon that a new bike was looming on the horizon. As luck would have it, the Peace Officer specials had not been on the lot for the required amount of time before they could be sold to a LEO. Oh well, maybe next time.

We got directions to a local seafood joint and had a late lunch. We returned to Jacksonville by whatever route we took and unexpectedly ended up at Buffalos. Now the arrangements to do so were apparently voted on by Heat, Ironhide & Nitro while Yankee was getting gas. While almost at I-295, Yankee kept yelling at Nitro to move over to the lane to take I-295 south but Nitro kept flipping him the bird and blocking his path. It wasn’t until being trapped in the left turn lane did Yankee learn that Bike Night was the last order of the day.

Buffalos was packed! As we rolled into the parking lot, low and behold, Pipes and Katie were there! I think Katie picked out about 100 choppers that she liked. We ran into a bunch of people Ironhide and Yankee knew and were introduced to Brent who is a sales guy from Adamec HD. He cleared up a few things the other sales guy had told us over a beer.

All in all we had a fun ride. It was great spending the time with brothers. We wish more of you could have joined us.
